Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. who tested positive for a diuretic in his system in his pre fight drug test from his bout against Troy Rowland last November 14th at the MGM in Las Vegas appeared in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission earlier today and although the medication was prescribed by his Doctor he still took responsibility for taking the illegal drug. The commission suspended Chavez for 7 months and fined him $10,000. The suspension was retroactive back to November 14, 2009.
